Save Our Streets (S.O.S.) Ministries is an inner-city ministry that was founded in the Brazos Valley in 1993 by JJ Ramirez, former drug dealer and addict. Our Mission is to “Rescue, Restore, and Release” those we serve from drug and gang infested environments where abuse, poverty, and violence are a way of life.

We pursue our purpose by serving nearly 600 men, women, teenagers, and children each year through high-impact mentorship and discipleship programs, life skill education classes, and neighborhood outreaches.

S.O.S. After School Program

Our After School Program allows us to build relationships with over 100 at-risk children every weekday by sharing the Gospel and Biblical Truth, tutoring them in their academics, teaching them technical skills, and introducing them to a variety of extracurricular activities (such as cooking, physical fitness, gardening, music, and dancing). These skills uncover hidden talents and strengths, build confidence, and set these children up for future success.

Our Goal is to raise $50,000 for our After School Program during SOS April Awareness Month, which includes raising $10,000 through our Online Auction.
