The Sexual Assault Resource Center was founded in 1981 by several members of the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office from the distinct need for services in our community for survivors of sexual assault. The Center began operations in 1982 when it began to train volunteers. Since that time, the Center has trained over 1,000 volunteers, established strong community partnerships, conducted training and educational workshops, and assisted survivors with crisis intervention services. The volunteers are the backbone of this agency and we could not do it without their support. As a result, we depend on incredible people from the community to support our work and warriors for the cause to end sexual violence. Together, we can work to provide support and services to the Brazos Valley.
