Save Our Streets (S.O.S.) Ministries is an inner-city ministry founded in the Brazos Valley in 1993 by JJ Ramirez, former drug dealer and ex-addict. Our Mission is to “Rescue, Restore, and Release” those we serve from drug and gang infested environments where abuse, poverty, and violence are a way of life.

We pursue our purpose by investing in the daily lives of children, teens, women, and men through high-impact discipleship programs, vocational training, life skills education, and neighborhood outreaches.

This year, we are auctioning off even more unique items and special experiences to support our entire Children's Ministry, which includes our weekday After School Program, weekly activities in Bryan and Hearne, On Location Neighborhood Bible Studies, and several summer camps.

Our goal is to raise $85,000 for our entire Children's Ministry during SOS April Awareness Month, which includes raising over $30,000 through our Online Auction

S.O.S. Children's Ministry

S.O.S. Ministries serves over 500 children across the Brazos Valley to provide consistent, loving support children can rely on, speak Truth into their lives, and help them grow into strong men and women filled with Hope. During our Children's Ministry programs, dedicated staff and hundreds of volunteers share the Good News of Jesus Christ with kids, build life-giving mentorships with them, provide academic tutoring, and introduce them to a variety of fun, extracurricular activities (such as cooking, gardening, physical fitness, music lessons, dancing, and more). We prioritize building trustworthy relationships with the children's families, visiting the children at their schools, and spending quality time with them in their neighborhoods. Last year, 7 kids and a volunteer from our After School Program publicly declared their faith and new life in Jesus through Baptism! It was such a blessing to celebrate with over 200 of their family members, friends, teachers, & SOS leaders through worship and prayer. Several more kids and one of their parents decided to surrender their hearts to Jesus that day after deep conversations with SOS staff and volunteers about what it means to follow Jesus and to serve Him with our lives. By consistently investing in lives and building relationships during our Children's Ministry programs, hundreds of kids and their families experience the love of God and lasting transformation that impacts generations to come!
